Arwen Cosplay Undómiel is a personage of Arda, the fictional universe of the English writer J.R.R. Tolkien. It appears in his most famous novel, The Lord of the Rings. Arwen is an Elf who lived during the Third Age.
The Fellowship of the Ring, Arwen is described as a very pretty lady resembling her father Elrond, regal bearing and a look trapelante reflection and wisdom learned over the years. It has a white complexion and smooth and his hair is jet black; in his face shine clear gray eyes, a prerogative of the Elven race. When Frodo Baggins sees it for the first time in Rivendell, Arwen brings a silvery lace bonnet embroidered with precious stones and sparkling, and wearing a gown of pale gray with no adornment except a ring of leaves with wires Braiding d ‘silver. in his first meeting with Elessar, that also took place in Rivendell, she dresses clothes similar to those worn years before Beleriand by Lúthien Tinuviel: a silver coat and blue. Arwen brings with it the Evenstar: a white gem like a star that hangs on his chest by a silver chain. This jewel is given to Frodo Baggins in memory of friendship Aragorn King and Lady Arwen with the Hobbit before their separation in Rivendell.
Arwen was the youngest daughter of Elrond and Celebrían; his older brothers were the twins Elladan and Elrohir. It is said reincarnasse the form of Lúthien Tinuviel, and was called Undómiel, since it was the Evenstar of her people.
As told in “The Story of Aragorn and Arwen,” which is located in Appendix A of The Lord of the Rings (after the third volume, The Return of the King), when Aragorn was twenty years old he met Arwen for the first time in Rivendell, where he lived under the protection of Elrond. Arwen, who was then over 2700 years old, was recently returned to the house Disuo father after living for a while ‘with her grandmother Galadriel in Lorien. Aragorn Arwen fell in love with at first sight. About thirty years later, the two were forced to Lorien; that time, Arwen reciprocated the love of Aragorn; then “they swore eternal fidelity” on Cerin Amroth hill.
The first real appearance of Arwen in The Lord of the Rings is in Rivendell, when the hobbits arrived there, and Aragorn was seen with her – the first indication of their relationship. Later, when the Fellowship came to Lothlorien, Aragorn remembered their previous meeting and stood reverently at Cerin Amroth.
“At the foot of the hill they found Aragorn sat still and silent as a tree; He was holding a small golden flower elanor and his eyes shone a light. It was dipped in some sweet memories: watching, Frodo knew he was remembering things which were once in the same place. The gloomy years were gone from Aragorn’s face, and he seemed dressed in white, a tall, shiny sire; of the words in the Elven language they flew from his lips to someone who did not see Frodo: “Arwen vanimelda, namarië!” [*] said, heaving a sigh; then coming back from dreams to reality, looked at Frodo and smiled. “This is the heart of the Elven realm on earth,” he said, “and here I will dwell forever my heart, unless there is a light beyond the dark roads that still shall we go, you and me. Come with me. ” He took Frodo’s hand and walked away from Cerin Amroth hill, and you will never again returned in human form.
[*] “Dear Arwen, goodbye!” »
(The Lord of the Rings – The Fellowship of the Ring)
Arwen returns again made history when, before taking the Paths of the Dead, Aragorn met a group of Dúnedain (his people, coming from the north), and the brothers of Arwen, Elladan and Elrohir. They brought a black cloth banner: a gift from Arwen, and a sign that encouraged him to take the difficult path. When the flag was explained to the Battle of the Pelennor Fields to reveal the emblem of Elendil in mithril, gems and gold was the first triumphant announcement of the King’s return.
